Continuing Education


How do I know how many continuing education hours I will need to renew my license?
New licensees must complete twenty-five hours (25) of continuing education hours per year for each of the first four years.  After the first four years, the licensee will need to complete thirty-hours (30) of continuing education for every two-year license term.

Training Senior Advisor Designation. Those who have earned the CSA credential can receive a transfer of credit toward The American College Chartered Advisor for Senior Living designation. The CSA will be accepted in lieu of The College's gerontology course, ?HS 350 Understanding the Older Client.? Free Drug Discount Card Training Program for Advisors. The Medicare Rights Center is offering free training for professionals on how to counsel people about the Medicare drug discount card program. California Annuity Training. Fiserv's RegEd regulatory education unit has received approval from the California Division of Insurance to deliver training to satisfy an important new regulation. The California Legislature now requires that each life insurance agent (resident and nonresident) selling any annuity products after January 1, 2005 must complete an eight-hour training course on annuities, approved by the California Department of Insurance. Online Continuing Education. WebCE.com is offering an Internet and paper-based California 2004 Annuity Training course that fulfills the newly mandated training requirement for agents who sell annuities. This new eight-hour course must be completed no later than Dec. 31, 2004 by all insurance agents and financial planners who sell annuities in California.
