Short-Term Life/Disability Plan
Petersen International Underwriters introduced its short-term contingency life/disability plan. It is designed to provide instant, short-term coverage for life or disability insurance while waiting for underwriting approval for standard life or disability coverage. The plan is written for third-party situations only, can provide coverage from 30 to 90 days only, and includes a simplified underwriting application, which can be approved in hours. Disability Program
Petersen International Underwriters released “The Top Hat,” -- an automatic issue excess disability insurance program. Top Hat is designed to layer additional disability benefits over a person's coverage to bring them up to 65% of income with little or no additional underwriting. The Top Hat program can offer up to $10,000 additional monthly benefits, over a person's coverages, without any further underwriting. Final Expense Product. Homesteaders Life Company is offering a worksite-funding product, “Final Expense Plus.” It offers the convenience of a totally paperless online enrollment system. FEP is a payroll deducted voluntary insurance benefit that is designed to give working-aged consumers an affordable, portable, permanent, whole life policy that is custom-designed to fund future funeral and final expenses. The new online enrollment system is an enhancement to a product, which requires little to no administrative effort by a company's human resources department. Affordable Group Benefits. Fort Dearborn Life introduced the FOCUS on Small Business portfolio. It offers small businesses a broad range of affordable group benefits, which are easy to maintain.
